Re-Action

Cultural Criticism and Satire

Re-Action Manifesto

Re-Action is a group of intellectuals from different European countries who identify with reactionary thought.

The name Re-Action is inspired by Isaac Newton’s Third Law of Motion: “To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction.”

The hyphen between “Re” and “Action” is intended to highlight the idea of a repeated and backward movement, in accordance with the original Latin etymology of re- (“back”) and agere (“to act”).

The sentence that best expresses our intellectual credo comes from the great Colombian thinker Nicolás Gómez Dávila:

The reactionary is not a nostalgic dreamer of abolished pasts, but a hunter of sacred shadows upon the eternal hills.

This online journal arises from the need to address an imbalance that exists today, especially in Europe: on the one hand, a monolithic mainstream outlook largely shaped by a woke ideology devoid of sense and meaning; on the other, the absence of a reaction grounded in genuine intellectual substance.

For this reason, we believe that the best way to confront the cultural derailment now affecting much of the West — a form of barbarism born of a total ignorance of the Classics of Western thought, as well as of the consumption of digital trash produced by social networks — is through satire and cultural criticism.

We explicitly dissociate ourselves from movements and doctrines such as the Dark Enlightenment, Accelerationism, Replacement Theory, and similar ideological deviations.

Our project is rooted not in extremism, paranoia, or fantasies of collapse, but in the recovery of intellectual seriousness, cultural memory, and critical judgment.
